Since Molong was listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchanges in 2004, we are gradually increasing the investment in technology R&D and building a professional R&D team with high efficiency through cultivating and introducing intellectual and joint cooperation with several universities and institutes. Molong has built up Prefecture-level Technical Center of Weifang, Petroleum Machinery Engineering Technical Research Center of Weifang and a Joint Petroleum Machinery Engineering Material Research Center with Material Science and Engineering College of Xi’an Jiao Tong University in succession. Meanwhile, Molong is developing the special petroleum tubular cooperating with Xi’an Tubular Research Institute of PetroChina, Corrosion Test Center for Material of Acid Gas Field of Sichuan Petroleum Directorate, several labs of petroleum engineering and PC Aid Engineering companies. Molong is consistent in developing oil drilling and exploring products with high technology and high grade, focusing on the leading-edge technology related to OCTG and petroleum machinery, used in some critical environment as requested by different customers.

　　At present, Molong Technical Center has developed many API series and Non-API series products, such as High Collapse, Casing with Special Clearance, Casing of Anti-H2S Corrosion, Casing in Thermal Well, Upsetting Drill Pipe, Line Pipe, Perforated Casing, Insulated Tubing, High-strength Sucker Rod, API Pump Unit with high property, many of which tested by relative authorities are exported to USA, Russia, Middle East and Southeast Asia etc.

　　On Nov.28, 2007, Molong entered the supplier scope in 2008 of API OCTG again in the EnergyAhead Internet, granted to distribute all casing and tubing to Petrochina and its subsidiaries.

　　Molong holds a belief that the continuous research and development and application of new products and technology make for improving the competitiveness and stance of Molong in the petroleum machinery industry , to meet the high-end demands from international and domestic petroleum industry development, creating growing sales amount and keeping a stable ,fast and long-term development.

　　Capacity: Up to Now, the capacity for separate process is as follows: steel making: 800,000 tons, hot rolling: 400,000 tons, end upsetting: 100,000tons, heat treatment: 200,000tons (namely high grade), threading: 350,000tons (namely finished pipe)

　　Features: purified steel; stable chemical composition; good quality surface; high accurate dimension; perfect mechanical and workmanship

　　Major Equipment: The key equipments are wholly introduced from Europe, Japan and major domestic professional manufacturer for casing and tubing. During process, it is automatically controlled by computer and NDT units of offline and online are applied in mature. Heat treatment lines are controlled automatically with temperature-controlling system and rotary quenching system spraying from inside and outside. In 2006, Molong purchased a multifunctional and semi-automatic ultrasonic tester made in UK with the most advanced pipe defects test technology, detecting additional oblique direction, lamination besides detects from transverse and longitudinal ways with 100% full body testing wall thickness to assure meeting the demands of high grade products requested by different customers.
